Safe access is the foundation of every scaffolding project we undertake. C.N.M Scaffolding provides independent scaffold systems, access towers, and bespoke access solutions for maintenance, repair, and restoration projects across West Sussex. Our most common installations use independent scaffold — a freestanding structure with two rows of standards that doesn't rely on the building for support.
We've provided safe access to some of the region's most challenging buildings, including historic churches in Worthing, county council buildings in Chichester, and school sites across Havant and Hampshire. For heritage and listed buildings, we design installations that avoid contact with fragile architectural features whilst providing comprehensive working platforms.
Emergency access is a priority service — we respond to storm damage, structural failures, and urgent repair needs within 24-48 hours wherever possible. Every installation is backed by our full range of industry accreditations and comes with comprehensive safety documentation.
Freestanding scaffold with two rows of standards — no reliance on the building for support
Mobile and fixed tower solutions for targeted access to specific areas
Specialist installations designed to protect sensitive architectural features
Priority response within 24-48 hours for storm damage and urgent repairs
Scaffold erected to multiple heights with safe access at every level
Flexible scheduling for schools, churches, and occupied buildings
Not every project needs a full wrap scaffold. Many maintenance and repair jobs require targeted access to a specific area of a building — a chimney stack, a section of render, a window, or a patch of damaged roofing. Our safe access scaffolding provides a stable, compliant working platform exactly where it is needed, without the cost or disruption of scaffolding the entire building.
We design each scaffold to suit the specific task, whether that means a simple tower scaffold, a cantilever platform, or a bespoke access solution for a difficult-to-reach area. Every installation is erected to current NASC and TG20 standards and comes with a written inspection record.
Churches, historic buildings, and listed properties often present unique access challenges — high-level stonework, narrow alleyways, fragile surfaces, and restricted fixing points. Our team has extensive experience providing safe access for restoration, maintenance, and inspection works on these types of buildings.
We work closely with conservation officers, architects, and specialist contractors to design scaffold solutions that provide the access needed without compromising the building fabric. Our work at St Michael's Church, Worthing and the University of Chichester Chapel demonstrates the standard of care we bring to heritage access projects.
