When Are Scaffold Design Drawings Required?
Not every scaffold needs a bespoke design — standard configurations up to certain heights and loads can be erected to TG20 compliance without formal engineering drawings. However, for non-standard structures, complex geometries, heavy loading requirements, or where specifically requested by the principal contractor or building control, a full scaffold design with supporting calculations is required.
