New Build, Roedean

Project Details

CNM Scaffolding was appointed by main contractor CBG Construction to provide scaffolding for a new build development in Roedean, Brighton. The project involves the construction of a single large residential home, requiring close coordination between CNM and the other trades operating on site. The relatively compact site meant that our scaffold had to be carefully planned and kept as tight as possible to allow all contractors to work safely alongside one another. CNM worked in close partnership with the brickwork contractor throughout, providing brickwork lifts at each stage of the build, a raised loading bay to facilitate materials handling, and a staircase for safe site access. Full fall protection was maintained throughout.

This project utilised our new build scaffolding and commercial scaffolding services, delivered to our full range of industry accreditations and safety standards. The project was located in Brighton, one of our key service areas across the south coast.

Project Challenges

The compact nature of the site was the primary challenge on this project. With multiple contractors working simultaneously, CNM Scaffolding had to work very closely with the site team to ensure the scaffold remained compact and did not impede the workflow of other trades. Coordination was essential at every stage to keep the site safe and the programme running smoothly.

Health & Safety

Fall protection was maintained across all working elevations throughout the project. Working in a tight, multi-trade environment required constant awareness and clear communication between CNM and the wider site team. All scaffolding was erected and inspected in compliance with current safety standards and working at height regulations.

The Roedean new build is an ongoing project that demonstrates CNM Scaffolding's ability to work cooperatively within a live multi-trade environment. Our close coordination with CBG Construction and the brickwork contractor has ensured the scaffold programme has kept pace with the build, providing safe access at every stage.
