Project Details

CNM Scaffolding collaborated with Ipsum Utilities on a framework contract involving various commercial-to-residential conversion projects across multiple locations along the South Coast. This ongoing two-year project required CNM Scaffolding to provide flexible, reliable access solutions, enabling safe and efficient utility work in various settings, often near water. The contract framework entails providing independent scaffolding, including towers and D-poles, with some work conducted near water sources. CNM Scaffolding's responsibilities include conducting initial site surveys, providing findings to Ipsum Utilities, and scheduling scaffold erection on agreed dates. Both CNM Scaffolding and BT are required to be on-site simultaneously, with CNM Scaffolding liaising with BT in advance to confirm specific requirements. Once the scaffold erection is complete, CNM Scaffolding finalises various procedural tasks including sign-off processes, capturing scaffold photographs, and maintaining comprehensive records. Given the contract's nature, many tasks are reactive, and CNM Scaffolding must maintain flexibility to respond to requests within specific morning or afternoon time slots.

The project's execution relied heavily on CNM Scaffolding's flexibility and coordination skills. By conducting surveys within the required timeframes and managing scaffold erections and striking in a timely manner, CNM Scaffolding ensured minimal disruption to the client's operations.

Health & Safety

Working near water and in varied locations introduced additional safety requirements. CNM Scaffolding conducted detailed risk assessments for each site and ensured that all scaffold setups adhered to strict safety guidelines. By implementing independent scaffold systems and D-poles, the company provided stable, secure access, mitigating risks associated with working near water.
