    Project Details

C.N.M Scaffolding was appointed to supply, erect, hire, and strike access scaffolding to support roofing works at The Chapel in Chichester. The project was carried out on behalf of Kingsley Roofing Ltd and required a well-planned access solution to suit the building layout and surrounding public areas. The scaffold installation included one working lift positioned to the underside of the eaves, providing safe and practical access for roofing operatives. In addition, two tabletops were installed to the gable ends to allow works to be carried out efficiently and safely across all required elevations. Debris netting was fitted to all working lifts, helping to contain materials and protect both operatives and the surrounding area throughout the duration of the works.

This project utilised our commercial scaffolding and safe access scaffolding services, delivered to our full range of industry accreditations and safety standards. The project was located in Chichester, one of our key service areas across the south coast.

    Project Challenges

A key consideration for this project was its location adjacent to a public pavement. To ensure full compliance and maintain public safety, a pavement licence was required for the duration of the scaffold installation. C.N.M Scaffolding managed the pavement licence process in-house, ensuring all permissions were in place before works commenced. As the project progressed, an extension to the pavement licence was arranged seamlessly, allowing the works to continue without disruption.

    Health & Safety

Health and safety were prioritised at every stage of this project. The access scaffold was installed in line with all relevant safety standards, with secure working platforms, appropriate edge protection, and debris netting fitted throughout. Regular monitoring ensured the scaffold remained safe and compliant for both contractors and members of the public, particularly given the proximity to pedestrian areas.
