CNM Scaffolding was appointed to provide an independent temporary roof structure at a residential property in Barnham, West Sussex, following a devastating fire that destroyed the roof. The temporary roof structure enabled a full roof rebuild to take place regardless of weather conditions, helping get the owners back into their property as quickly as possible. The structure provided a completely weather-tight solution whilst works continued on the property, also preventing further damage from water ingress. The temporary roof was designed to remain in place for around four to five months whilst the rebuild progressed.
This project utilised our temporary roofs and domestic scaffolding services, delivered to our full range of industry accreditations and safety standards. The project was located in Barnham, one of our key service areas across the south coast.
Working on a fire-damaged property presented unique structural and safety considerations. The temporary roof needed to be both robust enough to withstand the elements over an extended period and carefully designed to allow the roofing contractors to work effectively beneath it. Coordinating the installation to minimise further disruption for the homeowners and ensuring the structure was secure and weather-tight from day one was paramount to the project's success.
All scaffolding and temporary roof structures were erected to the highest safety standards, with the fire-damaged structure carefully assessed before works commenced. The temporary roof was regularly inspected throughout the hire period to ensure it remained structurally sound and weather-tight, protecting both the property and the trades working beneath it.
The Barnham temporary roof project demonstrates CNM Scaffolding's capability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations. By providing a robust, weather-tight structure, we enabled the full roof rebuild to proceed without weather-related delays, helping the homeowners return to their property as soon as possible.
