Project Details

CNM Scaffolding collaborated with Beard Construction on the Applewood Respite Center, a vital commercial project requiring scaffold access for roofing and brickwork in a sensitive area. This project required high adaptability and careful planning due to the environment and ongoing adjustments to the roofing schedule. The project involved installing a perimeter handrail and an access staircase for safe rooftop access. CNM Scaffolding's task was to ensure secure access points for contractors working at height while maintaining compliance with the high standards required in sensitive work areas. We provided a scaffold design specifically for the access staircase, meeting the unique site demands and ensuring all on-site teams had safe and efficient access throughout.

This project utilised our commercial scaffolding and edge protection & handrails services, delivered to our full range of industry accreditations and safety standards. The project was located in Epsom, Surrey, one of our key service areas across the south coast.

Project Challenges

The roofing program extended beyond initial estimates, leading us to keep the scaffold in place longer than planned. This required detailed scheduling adjustments and consistent communication with Beard Construction to avoid any further impact on the project timeline. Throughout the project, CNM Scaffolding demonstrated adaptability and teamwork. The extension of the roofing program presented scheduling challenges, yet we managed to keep the scaffold safely in situ. Our pre-planned staircase design and scaffold installation enabled Beard Construction to progress with minimal interruptions, successfully accommodating the extended timeline.
